I am deeply saddened to learn of the loss of life and injury caused by the military attack on the Holy Family Catholic Church in #Gaza. I assure the parish community of my spiritual closeness. I commend the souls of the deceased to the loving mercy of Almighty God, and pray for

This is a national disgrace. A violation of human rights. Total disregard for the Constitution and the rule of law. The indiscriminate use of force by the state is anathema to a healthy democracy.

Truly the only nice thing to come from this gross website in recent memory: * Discover ancient Roman game * Make it with my 8 yo son * Play it with him for a solid hour

Visited SF for the first time in many years last weekend, and I found it disappointing that the home of so much innovation and creativity appears to be totally fine that their most populous neighborhood looks like this. Median sale price: $1.5 million.

I had a college internship in the Capitol in 2009. My abuelo in Mexico was known for tall tales, and news about my job turned into a story where Barack Obama predicted I would be the first latino President of America and personally got me my #txlege internship. He told everyone.

I think one reason some tech people are unwilling to grapple with DOGE’s failure is that it would require acknowledging that their entire belief system about government — and in some ways broader worldview — was wrong.

A WORRISOME *FUTURISTIC* JOBS REPORT: In the newsletter, I wrote about today's labor market data, and how it was not only bad, but bad in a specific way that could portend a more ominous direction of the economy
