One hack I do is consume a protein shake 20-30 mins before.

I prefer cardio for the health benefits.

As a fat loss method Iā€™d much rather be smarter with my diet and just walk more.

15-20k steps a day with the doggo is much better than hours on the treadmill per week.

Tristyn Lee is a good example of what adding carbs will do for your physique.

If you really want to maximize muscle gains, carbs are your best friend.

Very easy hack to increase fat loss if you work a desk job.

Use your 1 hour lunch break to go for a walk.

You'll add a bunch of steps to your day (easiest way to burn calories).

Plus you get the body moving to somewhat counter the effect of constantly sitting.

Aggressive diets arenā€™t better.

Yes, you can lose fat extremely quickly.

But it comes at a cost.

The faster you lose it, the more likely you are to lose muscle too.

Not to mention you will spend most of the time feeling terrible and your cravings will spike meaning youā€¦

The theory of fat loss is simple.

But executing the plan is not.

You need self-control, accountability, and strategies to deal with life's obstacles.

It's OK if you're struggling.

Not everyone can do it alone.

Start evaluating your workouts on the quality of the work done / your lifts progressing in the right direction and NOT how many hours you spent in the gym.

When I used to work Monday-Friday, I LOVED the weekends because I could just focus on training.

No rushing around trying to fit meals in and getting my workout done before/after work.

I know lots of people take the weekends off but the gym has never felt like work to me.

The truth is genetics do make a difference.

But when youā€™re starting out, they donā€™t play much of a role.

They're not to blame for you being completely out of shape.

So donā€™t use them as an excuse to never get going.
