The YMCA has partnered with Lowell Brune to provide 2nd graders with 6 weeks of lessons regarding swim safety. Week 2, the safety topic was week “Reach or Throw, don’t go.” If we have a friend in the water who may need help; we should NOT enter the water to help them.

Week 3 of 2nd grade swim lessons! We learned the importance of calling 911 and when it would be necessary. We also talked about what questions a 911 operator may ask so we can be prepared to answer appropriately, and practiced with a fake phone.

Lowell Brune students have been turning in their beginning-of-the-year library reading challenges and getting their prizes for reading! Both the K-2 and the 3-5 reading challenges are due on October 17. If your student lost theirs, Ms. Schramm is happy to email you a new one.
