What a fabulous end to a busy term. There have been pantomimes at Aldersgate, parties for all and Christmas jumpers galore! Today, the children enjoyed a Christmas story with Mr O'Hanlon and we ended the day with a special service at Holy Trinity church with Paul Deo

Low Moor's Little Learners - Saturday 13th January 2024. Thank you to all of the families that attended the session at the weekend. The children had a lovely time playing in the EYFS classrooms and, from feedback, parents gained a lot of useful information! :)

EYFS Dark Day! The children in reception have thoroughly enjoyed the enhancement to the curriculum topic, 'Frozen Planet'! They imagined what it would be like to visit the Arctic and Antarctica and even had a visit from a penguin! What a fun day! :)

Year 3 are super scientists! They conducted three tests to investigate the properties of rocks. They tested hardness, absorbency and reaction to acid raid (vinegar). They worked scientifically through observation, recording their findings in a table and explaining their results.

Thank you to all our families for their support with our fundraising activities. We raised an amazing £644.38 for the Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal Royal British Legion and £200.88 for NSPCC on Christmas jumper day. Well done everyone!

This week we introduced the 'Low Moor Move More Challenge'. Pupils and staff in years 2, 4 & 6 completed a set number of laps of the school site. It was a great way to boost our well-being by going outdoors and exercising more. Next week, years 1, 3 & 5 will join in too.

Thank you to National Numeracy and Cathy from Vanquis Banking Group for a fantastic morning focused on mathematics. We learnt about how important mathematics is and that is part of so many things that we do in our day to day lives.

On Friday 26th April, a group of Key Stage 2 children took part in the Panathlon Challenge at Bolling School. After a rigorous 2 hours of sporting activities, Low Moor were successfully crowned the 2024 Panathlon Challenge winners. Panathlon Challenge Carlton Bolling

Year 6 visited VanquisBank for a fantastic 'World of Work' day. We enjoyed interviewing for a new chef, exploring time management strategies and being creative with branding. We learnt lots of transferable skills and even had pizza for lunch! Thanks Cathy & all the volunteers.
