Whilst I do welcome this appointment, I am surprised to find that in the 50 years since the establishment of the Lord Lieutenant of the West Midlands, not a single woman has been selected, despite talented women filling the vice-LL role. This is not the case elsewhere in the UK.

Back-to-back meetings this am, plus a bit of fire-fighting - don't feel like I've got anything off my Must-do list & I have restorative yoga booked at lunchtime. Really don't feel like going - but probably the time when I need to go to bring a bit of calm & then go again this pm
