#bfconf Although using the 'drive thru' fast food metaphor, I'm reminded that one well known coffee chain managed to say 'it's personal, it's about you' and write names on individual cups.

#bfconf Love the common sense feel to this presentation. Of course skin-to-skin contact and the instinctive stages a baby goes through should be facilitated at birth. How? By health care professionals understanding and trusting.

#dispatches #formulamilk Just finished watching dispatches (C4) and seen confirmed what I've always believed. Formula milk companies are dishonest and seek every opportunity to influence health care professionals.

#dispatches #formulamilk Well done Channel 4 for bravely bringing this subject to the publics attention and shedding light on the immoral way formula milk companies break the WHO code designed to protect babies.

#BabySussex Delighted to hear the news that Meghan has given birth to a baby boy - I guess she had a home birth in Winsor? - fantastic. I'd just love to see her breastfeeding in public now!

Looking forward to today - at the Jack Newman breastfeeding day in Norwich - hoping to gain some infant feeding knowledge and skills gems!

I'm always amazed that when it comes to breastfeeding it always takes a small group of passionate committed people to further the cause. Well done to breastfeeding Norfolk. #adaywithjacknewman #breastfeedingnorfolk

Breastfeeding is SO much more than a baby receiving breast milk - I'm liking how this is shaping up already! #adaywithjacknewman #breastfeedingnorfolk

Fascinated by this talk. I think we might just be a few steps ahead of the Canadian midwives with our general skill level with positioning and attachment at the breast. This I would attribute to the BFI education both university and in Trusts #adaywithjacknewman #BFI

I notice Dr Newman is suggesting holding the breast when latching in his demonstration - comments NCT? LCGB? #adaywithjacknewman

Louise Armstrong (@louisel89404020) 's Twitter Profile Photo

Interesting comments on tongue tie - Dr Newman suggests division even if baby can latch and is gaining weight if mother is in pain. Mother's pain alone is indication. #adaywithjacknewman

Next session: over diagnosis and industry influence? Surely the infant feeding industry would never encourage over diagnosis? Surely NOT! #bficonf #healthscienceyork
