This sticks with me... "patient and public inclusion in research may become less likely to aim towards inclusion of public and patient-led priorities, acting instead as kind of a “handmaiden” to research, servicing and validating institutionally pre-defined research goals"

For me it always come back to the same tensions that persevere through involvement that are never truly tackled, they’re squeezed and intensified but never reduced. “Do more with less, but not quite like that”

Louca-Mai and I are incredibly grateful to the #PPI staff who trusted this project. They are the people who experience the fallout when inclusive and equitable involvement in research is set up as a 'deliverable'. We hope to have done them justice.

Today RCPCH publish our blueprint for transforming child health services in England. #RCPCHBlueprint makes the case for change for child health services. RCPCH_and_Us volunteers highlighted that change must be supported by two fundamental principles from the UNCRC.
