Working on reshaping / enlarging the back tee box on hole #12 today. Shortgrass has really tightened and firmed up with the cold morning the last few days. Our Equipment Manager Bo, enjoying our new Patriot Lift that was delivered today.

Great day today as the teams get ready for Member-Member this weekend. Course detail work is almost complete now, started detailing the tool room today. Thanks to Chef and our F&B Director for getting the taco bar setup for the Maintenance and Horticulture teams.

New tee markers going out on the course today. Details are dialed in for this weekends Club Championship. Crew has really knocked it out of the park this season.

New 9 greens and practice area getting a little tlc / member guest prep today during an outing on the original course. Keeping this process going on the original course the next two days. Topdress, verticut, needle tine and then a roll brush to finish it off.

Absolutely humbled for the kind words john reilly. Our team is incredible and getting better each and everyday.

Had a great day with Chris Neff USGA doing his first site visit at Golden Ocala. Excited to continue our work with him to make GO better everyday.

XGD Drainage project started today on hole #11. Very excited to watch this process and also help a few of our problematic greens along the way.

Went to the course this afternoon to check in on the drainage project and see how the course handled the storm last night. Couldn’t be more excited to watch our team’s progress around the course. Senior open qualifier on Monday and then we start aerification!

First aerification is off and running. Backtrack verticut on greens, mowing greens, 5/8” tine followed by blowing greens off. Gonna let Mother Nature do her thing tonight and open these holes for us. Began punching fairways and will follow this with Terra Rake and circle cut.

Well, this was a first for me this morning. Went out for my morning ride and saw a horse out on the course! Returned safely to its owner. Been a long aerification week, filled with a lot of late morning rain. Finished up our aerification, terra rake and circle mow this morning.

Couldn’t be more proud of our team than I am right now. They have worked tirelessly over the last several months getting the course ready to host the Florida Open this week. Getting better each and everyday.

Our team has knocked it out of the park the last two weeks. Giving players great playing conditions last week for the Florida Open and turning around to start aerification this week. Fighting through early afternoon showers, we were able to get Drill and Fill completed.

Tropical Storm Debbie dumped a total of 9” of rain on Golden Ocala between yesterday and today. Hopefully water will start subsiding overnight as cleanup starts tomorrow. Busy few days ahead for our Golf Maintenance and Horticulture Teams.

Got to take Conor to his first O’s game today! Such a great atmosphere at the ballpark. Kids got to run the bases after the game which was a special treat for Conor. Nothing better than seeing the pure joy in his eyes when he was on the field.

Anyone have any pictures of their 2 cycle equipment / tool storage areas that are caged in? Looking for some examples as we are looking to redo ours in the next few months. Thanks for your help.

Ham & Egg One Day Member Guest today here at Golden Ocala. Couldn’t be more proud of what our team has accomplished in 2024. Calling for four nights hovering right around freezing this upcoming week. We’ve had more frost so far this winter than all of last winter 🥶🥶.

Coldest day of the year this morning, hit 24.6 on the weather station. Greens are firm for today’s Member Member event. First time seeing a heavy frost on TifEagle 🥶.

Our team continues to raise their game and elevate course conditioning here at Golden Ocala. We still have a long way to go but proud of what we’ve accomplished in only two years. We are ready for this year’s Member Guest.

Beautiful morning for the final day of 2025 Member Guest. Team created a wonderful product for our golfers this week. Couldn’t be more proud of the direction we are heading here.
