My name is Samantha Lotito. I am a special education teacher at Islip Middle School. I teach 6th, 7th and 8th grade, this is my first year at Islip! #MCtechsavvy2

A1: A collaboration tool that I have successfully used with my students is flip grid. My students enjoy sharing their ideas and building upon their peers experiences. #MCtechsavvy2

A2: Flip grid builds and strengthens the social learning community as the students discuss their ideas. This tool amplifies the students voices and supports student development as they immerse themselves in each others learning. #MCtechsavvy2

A3: I would describe the technology as being able to use the tools to convey the lesson and interact with the students. These different types of technology will allow the students to be the epicenter of teaching and learning. #MCtechsavvy2

A4: Technology enhances project-based learning because it can deepen a students connection to a topic. It can also showcase a students work beyond the walls of the classroom and steam line the feedback and revision process. #MCtechsavvy2
