Dig deep enough into harmful beliefs, destructive/self-destructive behaviours.. The reason is usually that the person cannot bear feeling out of control. Learning to accept & surrender things you can't control, is the best decision you can make.

Not enjoying Standard right now is completely understandable. There's gonna be people not enjoying some meta no matter how "balanced" it is. But please stop making it sound like the game is bad just because you don't enjoy a certain meta. Some of us do.

Ranlit Control is dead, but 3 of the top 5 decks at higher levels of play are Control decks. But someone will come in and tell you that Handlock is a combo deck without a combo, Big Warrior is midrange without a minion curve, and Libram Paladin is aggro because it hits face eventually.

Powerful decks are powerful because they have a strong game plan that's hard to disrupt. If the plan was easy to disrupt, the deck wouldn't be strong. Since players dislike losing, they will complain about any strong plan and contrast it with a perceived, better opposite

Do you like Hearthstone? Their early work was a little too new wave for my tastes, but when The Grand Tournament came out in 2015, I think they really came into their own, commercially and artistically. twitch.tv/deaddrawhs
