LonRes analysis of London’s prime housing market shows that the average discount to asking price across prime London was 8.3% in 2024, a slight increase on 2023.  While the average time on the market also saw a small rise, from 167 days in 2023 to 169 in 2024.

LonRes is 25 this year.  Back in 2000, sales of properties over £5m made up less than 1% of the prime central London market.  Last year it was 15%.

Stat of the day from LonRes Rents in the 'prime' London locations have risen by 5% over the past 12 months and now stand at 32.5% above their 2017-2019 pre-pandemic average. This follows yesterday's Office for National Statistics (ONS) data for the whole of London showing an annual increase of 11%
