Apparently Parliament has written a rule which means I can’t take my well behaved, 3-month old, sleeping baby when I speak in chamber. (Still no rule on wearing masks btw).
Mothers in the mother of all parliament are not to be seen or heard it seems….

stellacreasy Should teachers take their equally quiet babies to school with them or police, train drivers, bank tellers, customer service representatives all take their babies to their place of work. The rules are there to maintain practicalities and some semblance of order to avoid chaos.
Conrad Nevers stellacreasy Teachers, police, train drivers, bank tellers etc get paid maternity leave..
Mikko - I predict a riot Conrad Nevers stellacreasy Would her salary be cut if she wasn't there?
@ChrisHa33342711 Conrad Nevers stellacreasy If she wasn't there I and her other constituents would not be represented in Parliament. Not everything is about money.
Mikko - I predict a riot Conrad Nevers stellacreasy Put the child in a nursery whilst she is in the chamber, same as almost every other working parent has to.
@ChrisHa33342711 Mikko - I predict a riot Conrad Nevers stellacreasy I think you'll find there are very few 3mo babies in nursery. And most other working parents have their position covered during maternity leave.
