1. Yes, the teacher and principal are wrong. 2. Based on the discourse I’ve seen, this will be an unpopular opinion, but: To me it honestly doesn’t seem that important. If they are great at teaching 3rd graders but have this one blind spot—eh, it’s fine. Just let it go.

What are some good books/papers on underlying theory of LLMs that are rigorous/mathematical? Worked with LLMs over summer for my internship and since I’m back in school, I think I’d like to dive deeper when I can.
