September has arrived, and with it comes an array of new hardcovers and paperbacks! 🤩 Have you been patiently (or impatiently) waiting for any of these titles?

47. Awake by Harold Voetmann (tr. Johanne Sorgenfri Ottosen). This delightfully strange novel builds a composite portrait of Pliny the Elder, at turns contemplative and carnal, but ultimately a somber meditation on humanity’s will to dominate nature and fellow human beings.

i've said it before and i'll say it again - Lolli Editions is easily my favourite english language publisher right now, they're always interesting and everything they publish is so outside the boundaries of the concept of a novel

49. My Work by Olga Ravn (tr. Sophia Hersi Smith & @jennifer_etc). To paraphrase Beckett ‘giving birth was the death of her.’ Struggling to find a form suitable for narrating the ultimate act of creation, Ravn shores these literary fragments against the ruins of postnatal life.
