🏆 IJA selected @ProPublica reporter Mary Hudetz (Apsaalooke/Crow) as the recipient of the 2024 Richard LaCourse Award for Investigative Journalism. Hudetz was selected for her work The Repatriation Project – The Delayed Return of Native Remains.#IMC24 - tinyurl.com/974m4872

Congratulations to my colleague and friend Mary Hudetz, who's been recognized by Indigenous Journalists Association as this year's Richard LaCourse Award winner for investigative reporting. Mary has led our reporting on repatriation with heart and grit. I admire her so much. propublica.org/atpropublica/m…

Professional news: I'll be a fellow for the next year with New America's US@250 initiative, reporting a story I'm really excited about at the intersection of journalism/local history. This is a great cohort, too. Looking forward to doing this work.

So many wonderful people are part of the New America cohort. A big congratulations to Logan Jaffe, Aisha Sultan, Chandra T. Whitfield, and the crew!

Congrats to Public History student Logan Jaffe - one of New America's US@250 Fellows for 2024!

I'm proud to be part of ProPublica Guild and proud of the tremendous journalism we do. Yet one year into our union and over nine bargaining sessions, we’re still no closer to agreement on Just Cause. More in our update and thread:
