We’ve announced an £9m investment package for rural areas North of the Tyne. It’ll create jobs, protect the environment and put real money into people’s pockets. And I’ll be working hard to bring even more private investment into the area to create prosperity for our people.

We've been so busy getting the #Seeds2Trees packs out, we nearly forgot to thank Cumbria Tree Growers 🌳 for supplying us with the English oak acorns, hazels, common alder and silver birch seeds. 115 packs have been distributed across the region.

Wonderful #Rekindle volunteer day in Priestfield Woods coppicing hazel, protecting cut hazel stumps from deer browsing, creating glades, sorting wood poles for charcoal/further use, plus checking the planted oaks on grow tubes and repairing other hazel coppice deer ‘enclosures’.
