So it seems that yesterday was too good to be true! This morning was a lot more difficult for my boy and we were late for school. Not surprising really being in a new class with a new teacher. A lot to process. #pda #autism

An unusually smooth first morning of term for us :) A very different story to this time last year! Thinking of all those who have a difficult time with going back to school.

Thanks London Gatwick LGW for your special assistance facilities. The quiet lounge really helped as did the special lanes for security and passport control. Made a big difference to my little boy’s airport experience and helped us as a family. #autism #pda #asd

Enjoying our most successful holiday abroad in years. A lot of careful planning beforehand really helped my boy settle quickly into our villa. Gatwick airport facilities were great and made the experience fairly stress free for my boy. Happy times 😎 #autism #pda

As we go through the stress of packing for a week away I can totally relate to this post @LifeAndASC ! The amount of things we need to take to give us the best chance of a calm holiday is overwhelming!

The hols really brings it home to me how tricky simple activities are. Y’day we tried a soft play area but as soon as we entered my boy didn’t like it & we left. So we went to the park. Lasted 5 mins b4 he got teased for being scared of climbing a ladder. He ran off. We left 🙁

We hate the term school refusal and started using 'Too anxious to attend' very early on, after another mum on social media gave us the confidence to do that!
