In NY with The Wall Street Journal journalists Dave Benoit and Ben Foldy (he/him) discussed the international need to continuously support Ukraine — it's the best security investment US can make. Furthermore, we touched the upcoming decision to use RU frozen assets for UA and US leadership in this matter.

Today, we welcomed Team Europe Junior Lithuania in the Perm Rep, who were visiting Brussels to expand their horizons & deepen their knowledge. Students discussed #EU affairs, #Lithuania 's activities, & geopolitical events w/Amb Arnoldas Pranckevičius. Also we did a quick tour and a Q&A.

🇱🇹 A historic deal: Rheinmetall is coming to Lithuania! Today, German defence industry giant signed an agreement with Lithuanian institutions to build a 155 mm ammunition factory in our country. This move reduces our dependence on long supply chains & ensures long-term supply.

So Rheinmetall just signed an MOU to build an ammunition factory in Lithuania. #WhateverItTakes

Great meeting in Vilnius with Finland's Foreign Minister Elina Valtonen. Lithuania and Finland both recognise the need for Ukrainian victory, as all other scenarios would be disastrous. It's good to talk with partners who understand the reality we face.

It's great to meet the first arrivals from Germany, here to prepare the ground for an entire brigade to protect Lithuania and the eastern flank of NATO. Real commitments are real deterrents.
