Meet Rich Evans, STEAMworks board member. Portland local Rich Evans is a tech start-up guru, working on reactivating the old Portland cement works into an art and cultural precinct! He is also the founder of TheUncommon, a toolset to overcome mental health challenges.

Meet Luke Steller, STEAMworks Engagement Lead. Luke is an experienced science communicator, excited about empowering communities with a passion for science and art! Luke is also a PhD researcher at UNSW Science, and the co-founder of STEM education group Praxical.

Lithgow Science Hub launched and $300,000 funding announced for STEAMworks! Excited for my role as project lead at STEAMworks Lithgow Science Hub to use this funding to support local educators, artists, and First Nations knowledge holders to empower the lithgow community with science and art!

Had the most amazing time with the FutureStemGen team with Joanne Jamie from Macquarie University School of Natural Sciences on Monday. Working with community educators, local knowledge holders, and university academics to put on an awesome workshop for local school kids. More to come!

Exciting to have Neville Williams-Boney running dance classes with us this week at STEAMworks Lithgow Science Hub. Neville is a Wiradjuri Man and dance extraordinaire, and has been hosting cultural dance workshops for community and schools. Thanks @InspiringNsw for supporting these workshops!
