Friendships celebrated as Dickens Museum brilliantly hosts 27 fellow literary houses from around the country for our 20th Anniversary and Wilkie Collins for its winter exhibit 🖋🏡
Last year we were all reclining on Anne Lister's bed Shibden Hall, this year our conference ended with us all partying in Jimi Hendrix's bedroom Handel Hendrix House... people will talk 🖋🏡

Date for your diary - the 21st Annual LitHouses Conference is scheduled for Friday 22nd November at spectacular Newstead Abbey, which this year marks the bicentenary of Byron's death 🖋🏡
LitHouses sends its regards to Newstead Abbey today - the 200th Anniversary of Byron's death - with an image of Byron's ruler, in the collection of Edward Bulwer Lytton at Knebworth House 🖋🏡
No progress has been so satisfying to witness as that of Elizabeth Gaskell's House - Join us on Insta & FB over the last 20 years. The hard work of some very fine and committed folk has transformed a phantom of decay into a paragon of display 🙌
The LitHouses conference is about getting together and sharing updates, but fun each year to have a theme - and at our 21st annual gathering on Friday 22nd November 2024 at beautiful Newstead Abbey it will be 'International Initiatives'. Save the date. Details coming soon 🖋🏡
