New IDEA Risk-stratified Cohort (IDEA-RiSCo) E-Risk Study paper by awesome Dr Rachel Latham showing teens at high-risk for depression had higher levels of suPAR (inflammatory marker) 6 years later than those at low risk suggesting biological embedding of psychosocial risk over time doi.org/10.1016/j.bbi.… ESRC Centre for Society and Mental Health
Evidence that hurricane exposure accelerated immune aging in monkeys — from Noah Snyder-Mackler and colleagues
Interesting new findings from the Dunedin Study out now in JAMA Pediatrics, showing that smoking, obesity, and psychological disorders in adolescence are associated with accelerated aging later in life. Yet another reason to prevent or treat these conditions in young people!
Why are individuals with mental-health disorders at elevated risk of developing dementia? Thanks to @ClaudiaWallis1 with Scientific American for covering our recent research. scientificamerican.com/article/why-do…
Check out our blogpost in The Conversation explaining our findings on the link between social isolation, loneliness, and inflammation of the body.
Proud and grateful to receive an Inge Lehmann grant from the Independent Research Fund Denmark! I am very excited to dive into this project and investigate chronic inflammation in aging of the immune system and disease development. Thank you for the support DK Frie Forsk.fond!
🎉 Excited to have our clinical trial authorized to study—for the first time in Denmark!—the effect of #fisetin in treating patients with chronic diseases to lower inflammation and reduce the burden of senescent cells. News feature in Berlingske: berlingske.dk/samfund/bestem…
Excited to announce our new review on the potential of #fisetin as a senotherapeutic in humans! We explore the promise of targeting senescent cells for managing chronic diseases and outline key challenges for future research. sciencedirect.com/science/articl… #senescence #aging #healthcare
