We owe a lot to the labor movement. This year I was proud to stand alongside our brothers & sisters at IAMAW and successfully pass collective bargaining for library workers.

Thinking about my #Emory Class of 2014 Commencement keynote from the late Hon. Congressman John Lewis, in which he told our melting crowd in that Georgia sun to go out and be bold, find beloved community, get in the damn way and most of all: get in real good trouble.

Door knocking is not my favorite thing, but Clarence Lam is worth giving up an afternoon of gardening and Baltimore Orioles (and I can follow the game on my phone). We deserve a #HoCoMD member of Congress.

Maryland's 3rd District needs a representative in Congress who backs bold, progressive solutions to end gun violence.

Not someone who says they defeated an NRA-backed Republican with one breath and casts a yes vote in support of the gun lobby with their next.

Talking to folks I was just happy to hear they knew there was an election coming soon. That being said, the issues that got them engaged were women’s reproductive rights & education (in that order). And that’s good for Dems & bad for Hogan.
