Eric Topol My 26yo, previously healthy daughter has been suffering with debilitating long covid lung problems since the new year. She was fully boosted and given Paxlovid. I can’t imagine how bad she’d be without all that. Thanks for continuing to post the latest research.

I am delighted to report that our district council WestNorfolkBC is going to instal hepa indoor air filters in our offices and meeting rooms, to improve & thereby reduce risk of infections, &

This is encouraging on so many levels 1/4

Don't know about you, but I'm finding this the most grim and isolating time of the pandemic so far. It often feels like it's just me and my masks and nasal sprays against the world. The outright denial of the pandemic is so total, so widespread, so every day, and so tiring.

It absolutely makes no sense to me… how charities that are meant to be for patients either strokes, diabetes, heart problems, cancers… do not do any health promotional work on the topic of C19.

Some of them are actively promoting spreading it.

The world is upside down.

The Invisible Problem (in Front of our Eyes)🧵

Imagine every school, college and childcare setting in the country had a serious asbestos problem.

The asbestos problem wasn't exclusive to educational settings but it was particularly prevalent there.

🧵I’ve been covid cautious for 5 years now (2 yrs of which I’ve had Long Covid). I don’t know anyone else my age in the UK who is Covid cautious & people always just assume ‘my mum is making me’ but I do this for myself and for others. It’s my choice and it’s a good choice.

I don’t find it difficult to be Covid cautious but I do find other people’s attitudes difficult. So, hopefully find some likeminded people and feel less like i’m going crazy. Most people my age know nothing about Covid.

The reason that the CDC are telling cattle farmers to mask using n95 masks is because they work to reduce risk of transmission of airborne viruses.

They're not doing any studies on it because the science is ALREADY COMPLETELY SOLID.

Long Covid = Noticing The Damage

Not Noticing ≠ Not Having Long Covid

You don’t tend to feel early organ damage.

You can’t feel cancer in its infancy, that’s why cancer screenings exist.

You can lose up to 90% of your kidney function before experiencing symptoms.

We've spent 4+ years telling older adults to avoid inhaling SARS by... washing their hands. No wonder many isolate at home to reduce risk.

We need to help people use testing, high-quality well-fitting masks, and air purifiers. Science-backed PPE reduces reliance on isolation.

Hey governments, if you are completely ignoring the current pandemic, how the heck can we trust y'all to prevent the next one?

FYI Dr. Monica M. Bertagnolli, many Americans are isolated because COVID is NOT over, and government abandonment has left many locked out from society.

The only way to meaningfully address this isolation is to use public health tools to mitigate the long-term harm COVID continues to cause.

1860's: We physically raised central Chicago to improve the sewer system and stop cholera!

2024: We can't install portable air filtration and UV systems in hospitals to stop c.ovi.d and other airborne diseases. We'd have to change the filters and bulbs!

Went to the dentist yesterday. Universal masking. All staff N95. Patients in surgical or better. Air filters in each room. UV filtration system in the ceiling. It can be done. Any smart dentist would make a small investment for more business & better health.

tern I am learning to keep quiet. People know what I think. They know I read around the topic. They don’t really want to consider the facts. They often don’t cope with being an outlier or an early adopter. It is a re-education in psychological defence mechanisms 🙄
