he's half asleep, homework abandoned on the coffee table as he dozes on hari's couch, hugging a cushion to his chest. he would have camped outside hatori's bedroom door, but he was certain he'd come back to do some work; plus, it had more plausible deniability.

he stirs slowly, gently with the hand on his arm, entire face brightening when he sees who it is. "ja, ja, i know. i can walk. but first - did you get dinner?" always worried about his dad, whether or not he's taking care of himself.
