My colleague Tim Regan Lab is starting his own lab 👨🔬 and he's hiring a Postdoc The Roslin Institute! I know nothing about #mussels or #host-microbiome interaction and very little about #immunology but I can tell you that Tim is a great colleague to work with!
New paper! We investigated the dynamics of ISAV infection in Atlantic salmon cells using single-cell RNAseq, finding evidence of paracrine signalling and more. Thanks to all co-authors!! 📚🐟 🧬Exciting opportunity alert! #PhD studentship available at The Roslin Institute Diego Robledo, Albert Tenesa, Dr. Robert Mukiibi on "A genotype-tissue expression atlas of Atlantic salmon". Deadline: 8th January 2024. Don't miss this chance! findaphd.com/phds/project/r…
🎉 New year, new paper! A study led by Dr. Robert Mukiibi in which we characterized wild fish from lakes Victoria, Albert and Yoga and farmed fish from the country. We showed that Uganda's 🇺🇬 Nile tilapia population populations are highly diverse with minimal levels of inbreeding. 🐟🎣
