P2a have been learning to name and identify 3D objects. We enjoyed a shape hunt in the playground with P2b today.

Using manipulatives, making our own decimal tenths number line and creating multiplication wheels in P6 Numeracy.

P3b were combining their computing skills with numeracy and maths this afternoon. We used an interactive 100 square to play 'Guess My Number'. We gave our partner 3 clues and they had to guess which number we had painted on our 100 square.

Inspired by a Roman coin from 270 AD, brought in yesterday by a classmate, P5 have been using charcoal to draw their own Roman coins. We worked hard on our highlights and shadows. Great skills, P5!

P1a have loved completing their weekly rainbow challenges! 🌈 These allow us to consolidate learning in a fun and playful way. Some focuses have been sorting and building 2D shapes and identifying our focus sound! Super team work! 👏🏼

A very exciting week last week as we started learning our sounds. 🔡 P1a explored their sounds using a variety of materials and worked hard to form them correctly. 👏🏼

In p4, we were working in teams to identify different types of words which we then used to build funny sentences.

Primary 2b have been loving completing their morning challenges we started up last week! We have been focusing them around our learning of 2d and 3d shape and tessellations. Great work p2!

Impressive co-operation and teamwork skills from P5 this morning! To practise using measuring devices accurately, each team had a plan of a Roman Fort to make - their challenge was to include all the buildings found inside a Roman Fort and to measure precisely, just like Romans!

P1a went on a 2D shape hunt today! After discussing the properties of the shapes we went out to find them in our environment. It is amazing what you can spot if you are looking for it! What shapes do you see in our pictures? 🔴🟧🔷

P6 have been getting to grips with area this week and had great fun trying to capture more squares than their partner by rolling the dice and calculating the area of their shape. 🎲🎲

Buddy is helping P1c to learn about personal boundaries, consent and No means No. The class helped Buddy understand how to ask for cuddles from his friends, and what they say if they want space from others. Thanks P1c!

P3b were practising writing numerals today that we find tricky. Our focus was leaving a space in between each number and making sure it was the correct orientation.

Active Area time in P3b this week! We love having the chance to extend our learning across the curriculum. We have been learning to double numbers, make our own medicine bottles and have enjoyed the literacy challenge this week!

P2a have been learning about the role of the heart. We loved doing an experiment to find out how the heart pumps blood around the body.

What a busy week here in P3a! We have been describing our teacher to practise descriptive writing, wondering what affect George's Marvellous Medicine will have on Grandma, and we took our knowledge of natural and man-made materials into the playground to see what we could find!

P4 have been practising reading scales using online games, weighing different amounts and measuring capacities of liquid.

A snapshot of some learning from this week in P1a. 📸 Our hard work in phonics continued as we learned our next 3 sounds. In PE we got changed for the first time into our kits, showing our independence 👏🏼 and were showing some fab object and body control at our stations!
