There are a lot of fascists on our streets making lots of noise. They are massively outnumbered by the selfless, kind and compassionate, the people who know we have more in common than that which divides us. The people who know our human rights are universal. Us. All of us.

If I were an NHS senior leader, I would debrief staff, offer work from home, compassionate leave, and conduct risk assessments. I’d also acknowledge racism within the NHS, allow people access to reflective practice surrounding anti-racism, and provide free shuttle buses or taxis.
