Membership in a church organization means little in itself. The question is, what are the people doing with their lives?

Anything can be considered a sin if it takes us away from faith in God.

The kingdom of heaven is going to come to Earth one day, and the people who are allowed to enter that kingdom are those who choose to live by its principles.

I kind of picture Jesus as a gatekeeper or a bouncer at a nightclub. He is standing there at the door to heaven, and he determines who gets in.

Don't make promises! Let your 'yes' be 'yes', and your 'no', 'no'. (Matt 5:33-37)

Through our obedience to God, we create a world of peace and love which is beneficial for all of us. But if we choose not to obey him, we create the very hell he warns us against.

We can’t blame him for giving us free will.

If you want to change the world, obey the things Jesus said. You'll turn the world upside down! (Acts 17:6)

The job of the Holy Spirit is to remind us of everything Jesus taught (John 14:26). How many teachings of Jesus do YOU know?

If a Bible verse is being used to contradict something that Jesus taught, then you should be very suspicious. This sort of thing happens more often than you might think.

The key to understanding the Revelation is to line up what you are reading with the things that Jesus taught. The prophecies in this book have important spiritual lessons, regardless of the specifics of what those prophecies are saying.

If you read what Jesus said in Matthew 6 (about working for God instead of money, and trusting him to provide for us), then the answer to the Mark of the Beast is suddenly apparent.

“For false christs and false prophets will rise and show great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect.” (Matt 24:24)

The actual teachings of Jesus…the essence of Christianity has been thrown out in favour of a lukewarm, respectable gospel. Getting people to see that is a huge challenge.

The people who will be a part of the kingdom of heaven are those who choose to live by its principles now, in the midst of this greedy, materialistic society.
