New PLAD data on leader birthregions, ethnicity, gender, education (1989-2023): plad.me

We use our Political Leaders' Affiliation Database to test whether sub-national regions where leaders’ spouses are born receive more foreign aid. We find they do.

The young generation could fight climate change as academics, as practitioners and equally important as consumers. Everyday decisions would make a difference to secure the future of our planet.

With a large audience, this week's seminar was wrapped up with an inspiring message from the speakers. Esther Duflo and Cina Lawson acknowledged the power of young people to contribute to the mitigation of climate change in many different areas, by doing what they like the most.
