We need to call privatization what it is: adding a profit tax on to a public good. A public post office puts all it's resources towards delivering mail. A privatized post office will diver a large chunk of it's income to shareholders. In what universe is that better?

Genuinely, genuinely…this would’ve helped so many scared kids feel seen and do no harm to anyone. This is something that would’ve helped me understand what I was feeling at the time, it would’ve humanized trans people to me. Fuck Disney for removing this.

The Clean and Equitable Transportation Act would reduce pollution, connect communities, and make it easier to get around our state. Urge your legislators to support the bill! ilcleanjobs.org/CETA #TransitIsEssential #ElectrifyIL

I was proud to stand with the IL Clean Jobs Coalition today at the State Capitol for their climate rally! Clean energy is a major issue that our generation must push forward with clean transportation, energy efficient buildings, a reliable grid, and less barriers to renewables.

Guess who vigorously opposed Confederate memorials? Robert E. Lee, who said they would "keep open the sores of war" and cause national division. Suffice it to say he was correct.

Detaining a U.S. student and resident for exercising his right to free speech is not only illegal, it is a direct threat to our democratic values. This is a clear act of authoritarianism and another attempt to weaponize immigration to silence dissent. The Trump administration

Yesterday, Environmental Law & Policy Center talked to Chicago transit riders about the fiscal cliff. People are about to walk past til they hear “stop service cuts!” Then they’ll do a double-take & turn around to ask how they can help. #transitisessential Take action: win.newmode.net/icjc/mma

Check it out! I’m in the trib “At ELPC, we can see the stakes for our air quality & climate impact if we push thousands of people into driving more. We must think long term about what’s best for the region, & that means saving transit.” Take action: win.newmode.net/icjc/mma

As a proud member of the Illinois Clean Jobs Coalition, we're glad to see so many important voices come together in support of public transportation. We're getting down to the wire in Springfield, please tell your legislators to save transit tonight secure.everyaction.com/R2w3AjTVD0CrQ4…

Without urgent action, Northeast Illinois’ transit agencies will cut 40% of their service. That means longer waits, more crowded buses and trains — or no service at all in many communities. Join us on Thursday to fix and fund transit! bit.ly/junetransitral…
