I interviewed George Barnes when I was on holiday Padstow in March 2012. He made a big impression because I came to comprehend what conscription must have been like for so many of the men who went to Korea. This is from Legasee's KS3 Teaching Resource  buff.ly/43fwcmG

In WW2, James Pitts was an Air Gunner with 856 Squadron. During his interview, he shared some amazing details about a number of 'moments' he experienced as a Fleet Air Arm, Gunner. This one, on a patrol in the Baltic sea, blew my mind. #wwii #history #convoys #swordfish #arctic
