Beer is a big part of Northern culture, but did you know it goes all the way back to Roman times? 🍻

Leeds researcher Dr Samuel Gartland, along with local brewery Northern Monk Brew Co., have created Mhòr inspired by a 5,000 year old recipe!

Find out how you can try it for yourself 👇

Pleased to have a chapter in this new book called 'Retrospective parentage: Augustus as a Father of Europe'. It's about how Augustus has come to be known by a title that would have baffled him. (Spoiler: it's imperialism!) If you'd like to read it, drop me a line: I have a pdf.

At my first in person RAC / TRAC for 6 years and really enjoying catching up with people! I'll be at the Theoretical Roman Archaeology Journal table a fair bit over the next few days and giving a paper on the material culture of childhood in ancient Iberia tomorrow afternoon!
