My new hairstylist told me that she and many of her friends developed autoimmune diseases from Covid infections. She almost died last year. “I got my all my Covid shots and still got it” she said, not wearing a mask. It’s hard to articulate the anger I have about this PH failure

Shocking statistic– prior to the pandemic Indiana vaccination rates for 3 yr olds stood at 70%. Today just over half of Indiana 3 yr olds have received their routine vaccinations (polio, measles, etc.) We are rapidly going backwards on a major predictor of life expectancy. 😞

So a lot of people who catch Covid go through a period of vulnerability to other opportunistic infections in the following months. This has been one of the biggest summer waves. Expect one of the worst winters ever for other infections. Bookmark this.

NYC Mayor Eric Adams, who has been pushing a mask ban for NYC, has again tested positive for COVID. A timely reminder that now is a good time to wear a mask, and to call your representatives and tell them to speak out against mask bans.

Far too often when an elected official says COVID is over or pushes for a mask ban, they test positive for COVID soon after. We are living in an age of reckless denial.

5. I have realised of late that sobriety allows me to clearly see the psychological drivers behind the seemingly-irrational pursuit of obvious harm. Remember this when you read articles in which any mention of the very real harm of Covid is conspicuous by its absence. /end

Remember, the people you see out and about who are not masking are a biased sample. A lot of us that are masking are avoiding crowded indoor public spaces and going to places off hours. #WearAMask

This is the "hot spot" we have identified in Imperial Beach where turbulence in the river releases extensive odor and river spray aerosols containing viruses, bacteria, and other pollutants. The foam extends from this point all the way to the ocean. Residents told me (1/2)

Last week, we lost at least 1500 people to Covid. Next week, likely the same. Every two weeks, we lose the same numbers of people we lost on 9/11. #CovidIsNotOver #September11

The pandemic should have led to universal health care, paid sick leave, upgraded ventilation in millions of buildings, massive investment in preventive healthcare and ongoing vaccination campaigns. Instead we got $1200 and the impending criminalization of masking.

Have you had COVID 2-3 times? If you’re on your third infection, your risk of serious health issues like dementia or heart disease spikes by 40%. COVID isn’t gone—it’s leaving a mark. Take action: safer schools, cleaner air, and protecting your health starts now. #COVID19

Our children are silently facing the threat of COVID every day—breathing air in schools and daycares that could carry this airborne virus. This isn’t just a cold. Multiple COVID infections can lead to lifelong problems—heart issues, cognitive decline, and diseases that we usually

Seriously. If we stopped infection in schools and hospitals, it would break most of the existing chains. And then we could break the rest.

You are reading this Tweet during the pandemic. Transmission is higher this time of year than during any prior September. Many people have not had a vaccine in the past year and are not using other mitigation. Repeat-infection #LongCOVID should concern all.
