Happy 100th day of school!

It may include crazy weather, and it may make for an interesting hair day, but morning carline has become my favorite part of the day! I love connecting with our Castle Hills ES parents and being one of the first ones to pump our dragons up for a great day. Happy Friday!

As a 1st year AP trying to figure out what is hands down the hardest role I’ve ever had, I’m reading Ryan Donlan book All Other Duties As Assigned & letting this question sink in deeply, “What do I do each day that inspires students to dream?”

It’s February, and we are all tired. It’s time to recalibrate! Thinking back to my own interview chair answers.

While in the cafe during lunch, a student randomly asked what my fav food was. What ensued was a lengthy convo about our favorite foods and restaurants, and several other Ss chimed in. I love getting to know our Dragons! Add lunch times to my list of favorite times w/ our Ss.

Highlight of my day- showing off my mad skip-it skills for a 4th grader. She was quite impressed.

It’s been a hot minute since posting here. After years of serving in a variety of admin roles, I am excited about going back to my first love of serving and leading as an elementary librarian this year. This year is already proving to be a great one! Proverbs 16:9
