LeadershipRelay Not a fan of awards, they are extrinsic rewards that provide at best temporary and shallow motivation, and can often be used to hide a lack of intrinsic motivation around purpose, learning, connection which is what we really want from our jobs. They often are self-serving too...
Really can't stand any teaching awards. Not sure what purpose they're supposed to serve. What are your thoughts Cath Bishop? Maybe I'm just bitter because I've never won one!!

2. Next was Jennifer Webb. Was my first time watching Jen speak and she was captivating! She spoke of how schools may show the best of themselves on social media but the reality is a lot of hard work! Sometimes things might be great but to get better you may have to start again.
