A Severe Thunderstorm Watch is in effect for parts of the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast through 8 PM. Damaging winds and hail are the two main storm threats, but an isolated tornado cannot be ruled out. The Weather Channel has coverage on this threat throughout the day.
