This slide is based on data from 20 years ago - it is really a gross exaggeration. The US HEMS industry has a lousy safety record... but it is improving. There were 11 fatal crashes in just 1 year -2008. There have been "just" 4 fatal US HEMS crashes in the last 5 years

True- and decisions about “instability” are by nature dynamic. They should be informed by risks, benefits, crew capabilities, and the expected downstream outcome.
