Never understood why the police don’t see supporting people with acute mental distress as a core part of their business and rather than fighting about who should go they should be better at it, safer at it, kinder at it and get some proper training

Part of the problem is there is no evidence base to implement. This area has been woefully under investigated / evaluated. Where are the trust policies on preventing staff suicides, where is the organisational data etc. when are well-being initiatives rigorously evaluated #rcn23
