This article highlights one reason why museum collections are so important. Science Museum of Minnesota one of our biologists has collected species from #WadenaCounty and documented the biodiversity there for over 40 years. He has seen many changes and species lost. startribune.com/sixth-mass-ext…

Great photos of museum scientists out in the field over the summer! From stewarding the collection of over 2 million objects to the data we are continuing to collect the Center for Research and Collections staff are making an impact.

Another really good post from Katelyn Jetelina arrived in my inbox today. yourlocalepidemiologist.substack.com/p/fall-bivalen… She included a poll, which I'm duplicating here. I'd love to know the "why" behind your answer in the comments. Thanks! What is your bivalent booster status?

These Science Museum of Minnesota scientists from SCW Research Station have a nice (but cold) working environment for a few days. They are collecting data to help us understand what is happening to sensitive lakes in the Boundary Waters.

Happy #FossilFriday! This week I was out in Springfield & New Ulm, #Minnesota. Found some lovely shark vertebrae 🦈 from the Age of the #Dinosaurs, about 90-100 million years ago. The coast would’ve been close, so these #sharks may’ve eaten dinosaurs that swam out a bit too far!

As someone who both works at the Science Museum of Minnesota and grew up going to the museum too - this story was a fun one! I remember climbing (oops) on Iggy while my grandparents photographed us. Thanks for the memory KSTP and #SoMinnesota kstp.com/kstp-news/top-…

A great story about Science Museum of Minnesota scientists Adam Heathcote and @LienneSethna's #BWCA research. mprnews.org/story/2022/10/… This is possible thanks to the Environment and Natural Resources Trust Fund, a constitutionally dedicated fund from MN State Lottery proceeds. #LCCMR
