Clearly Ivy Leagues are used here as examples to rile up conservatives, but rates are higher at places like Seattle Children's Hospital (95%) or Dana Farber Cancer Institute (75%) - underscoring how cutting indirect funds will directly impact pediatric and cancer care.

Honestly I think any American who cares about our future supports DOGE, Elon, that’s not the problem. It’s your failure to understand our nation is built on the strength of our great research universities institutions, which you benefited more than anyone I know, that’s the issue

So when you try to slash the budgets of our research universities, our academic health centers, our sources of innovation, which ensure the greatness, the biosecurity, of the United States, that’s the head scratcher. Please reconsider, try to be more thoughtful, think deeper

I’m curious how many SpaceX scientists had federal training grants during their PhD/ postdoctoral training. NSF, NIH, etc These programs fund our most exceptional US scientists in training. We must continue federal funding of science- engineering, health, discoveries!

Corporations move between States or countries when economic situations become unfavorable Universities cannot move. The mission often involves educating locally. Resources must go to them, they cant move to the resources. It also means people suffer locally if funding is cut
