I absolutely adore this man and very much enjoyed our Christmas together. 10/10 would do squats and jumping jacks to keep warm for half an hour on the summit of green in order to share this moment again.

On the afternoon of July 20, 2023 Pikes Peak-America's Mountain was hit by a tornado. Preliminary rating is EF1 with winds reaching 108 mph. Thankfully, there were no injuries or fatalities.

Hygge is 4.5 months old and is the best buddy a gal could ask for while dissertating.

Limber pine seedlings are incredibly resilient and drought-tolerant. After counting germinated seeds in mid-June, I couldn't plant all of the seeds (time & resource limits) and threw them away. Here we see they were able to put down roots and survive 2-4 weeks of dry trashcan.

Any recommendations for antivirus software for Windows? Norton makes me want to dropkick my computer on a regular basis. They've become downright spammy with their constant notifications. Norton is bad enough I'm about ready to switch to linux.

Im very late in announcing this, but I got a concussion just a few weeks before the Bryce Canyon ultra and was unable to run.

For those of you who donated, rest assured that the money will go to Whitebark Pine Ecosystem Foundation this year. I will still run the race next year.

This man! 'Not his best' is still front of the pack. Most road runners don't bother with a marathon that has ~1,600 ft of gain, but he's still cracking four hours on a bad day.

I spent 76 hours straight, with no sleep, working to track germination and plant about 2,000 seeds last weekend. Seeing the babies emerge now makes it feel worthwhile.

SOS! I'm still in lab, and will likely be here all night and into the morning. I'm caught up on Ologies, I've listened to Good Omens and both books of The Book of Dust series, and I just finished binging the Good Fire podcast.
