If a pitcher doesn’t know what a good or bad Roll in or Rocker drill LOOKS LIKE or FEELS LIKE…..

Then how is it possible for the brain to optimize movements when it has no idea of right or wrong?

Am I missing something?

Just a reminder…

I invite any and all to question or challenge anything I post.

I believe in what I do and if my name is at the top of the paper it matters.

If you are training with drills to:

Stay in your heel
Drift when you can’t even control the lift
Retract your scaps when ur arm is late

That’s one reason why ur velo is stuck, ur lower back hurts and nothing translates.

I’ll post the 1000000 reasons later

Do me a favor and challenge everything I tweet.

I promise I won't act like @treadathletics and get upset. I'm confident in the materials I put out or I wouldn't put them out.

As tech advances arm injuries increase

As internet usage increased in homes so did injuries

Social media skyrockets so do injuries

Why?

Cause :
Knowledge w/o understanding is useless.

Application without understanding is dangerous

Why would you ever instruct a player to stay in their heel?

This makes no sense from my side of things.

Most often it’s a lack of hip awareness or pelvic control.

It’s not like the feet work independently of the body

Pitchers Who Are Taught To Stay In Their HEEL most often experience one or all of these:

Low back gets tight
Poor stride alignment
Inefficient Hip Rotation
Late Arm or Upside Down
Velocity Gets Stuck

P's who go to Heel do so because they lack hip awareness most often

This is absolutely correct.

The best athlete’s keep pressure off the heels and use it only for resting while standing.

Can’t run on your heels.

Can’t jump on your heels.

Can’t throw on your heels.

Period.

PLEASE DON'T STAY IN YOUR HEEL... Its not even close to what you should be doing.

In fact, one of the most effective ways to induce low-back pain is by Instructing a pitcher to 'get to' and 'stay in his heel'.

Please don't tell pitchers to stay in their heels. Please.
