Thanks to the PE team at my school. I’ve been training hard lately on their rowing machines and got my PB and my splits are now competing with some of the top rowers are Marlow rowing club. I have just made the left side of the leaderboard 🥰

8 years Ago Today I was top 10 in the global teacher prize and joint runner up. I love teaching :)

What a day! One class of A-level Marked ✅ One class of DT coursework marked ✅ Lunch time NEA supervision ✅ Stayed till 6:00pm to help students ✅ I’m not cooking my own sweet and sour chicken 🤣 never stopping! Haha

Incredibly relieved to have submitted my NPQSL assignment! I have a leadership team that value me and gave me an opportunity. They believed I could balance this on top of my job, thank you for that! Now we wait! 18 months… #teaching #edchat

Hopefully the first of many more. First rowing medal today and got to meet Sir Steve Redgrave :) not a bad day.

Cultural day at Aylesbury Grammar School and had some students in at lunch time so that we could learn some Irish together. Dia Duit (Jeeyah Ditch) / Dia is Muire Duit (jeeyah iss murah ditch) - Just to help with some of the pronunciation.

Today was the day I won my first tankard. Won our first heat by 3 1/4 lengths and then ‘Easily’ in our final! So proud of have won my first British rowing event!!

My focus for this coming year is going to be on the Engineering department. Started off by giving the workshops a spruce up. Desks cleared and windows decorated with key terms. Visualisers on the desk and ready for greatness in 25-26! Let’s do this! De-cluttered! Job one done! ✔️

I love teaching Computer Science, but I LOVE teaching Irish Dancing 😍 especially when my kids make me this proud!

Really wanted to work on the exam technique in Engineering… couldn’t decide which key words to put on display so I printed them all 🤣🤣 - thanks to my DT technician for all the laminating.

Enjoyed this morning on the River at Marlow. In the last year I’ve really grown in confidence in my rowing :)

I’m pretty sure I’ve had Covid this week …. So let’s see how this one turns out! Wish me luck in Oxfordshire tomorrow, rowing in a category against university students half my age 🤣😋 First head race since January!

17th in Britain at my first British Rowing Championships out of 66 entries (Masters 30-39) Age Category - I was aiming for a top 20 finish and even had what I think was Covid last week. A PB by .9 seconds - I’ll Take it!

Only just went and got 9th in Britain in rowing 500m!!! 3 seconds off 3rd place!
