Monster weekend for these guys as Alex + James knocked off multiple ranked guys to take 3rd in the 70-team Lourdes On the Water Holiday Tournament. James avenged his prior 2 losses to Fremd by fall. Evan took 7th of 38 at 106, Nasser was 9th of 47 at 138. Lane was 19th as a team.

Boys varsity goes 4-0 this week, winning the Red North conference and winning 2 more on Senior Night. 64-12 over Amundsen, 72-6 over Schurz, 78-0 over Elmwood Park and 57-19 over St. Rita. Boys are 12-5 in duals now with New Trier next Thursday.

Girls put 3 into the finals including Lily Cohen (pictured) over the defending city champion at 170(not pictured). Nyah Lovis won 8-7 and Zabby Badru pinned in the semis. Sofe Guerrero going for 5th.

Girls take 6th with 2 champs, 1 runner up and 1 6th at the CPL city tournament. Lily Cohen pinned her way through the tourney including the returning champ in the semis at 170. Nyah won 7-0 in the finals and Zabby was 2nd at 135. Sofe 6th at 105.

Lane 49, New Trier 21 Tech falls from Evan Coles, Alex Valentin and Larry Posey, pins from James Zavala and Cesar Mucha, decisions from Vermaat, Eyob and Jose, plus forfeits to Julian and Nasser. LBF at 165, 175, 190, and LBD at 175.
