Year 8 pupils have been having fun in their science lessons, building and launching rockets on the school field. The children have been learning about the forces acting on rockets and putting Newton’s Third Law of Motion into action. It was a successful launch! #LPW #Rockets

On Friday, it was our Third Generation Day. This year it could really have had no other theme than a big birthday party to celebrate LPW’s 10th year. Children arrived at school to find a Big Top with everything that comes along with a fun circus and a good birthday party! #LPW

Year 1 enjoyed a day out at Amberley Museum for their transport topic. They travelled on a miniature steam train and a hundred year old open top bus. They also found out about the history of bicycles and were amazed to see a real penny farthing. #LancingPrepWorthing #SchoolTrip

On the 24th June, Year 8 celebrated the end of exams with the annual tradition of a fun day out. Pupils enjoyed rides at the end of Brighton Palace Pier, a session of laser tag at @LaserZoneBTN and lunch at DonatelloBrighton #LPW #LancingPrepWorthing #FunDayOut #SchoolTrip

This term saw some of our Year 6 and 7 pupils out on their bicycles! They participated in Bikeability: a trusted programme of cycle training supporting our pupils to gain confidence and to be safe when cycling on the roads. #LPW #LancingPrepWorthing #LoveLearning

In the last week of term, Reception had a wonderful Pirate Day. The children made telescopes and bracelets - pirate booty! They danced to a sea shanty and listened to pirate stories. The children had to find the treasure hidden in the classroom - X marked the spot! #LPW

In the last week of term, children who raised the most sponsorship money for this year’s Bannister Mile were treated to cake and soft drinks at Buddy’s Café. Their efforts were greatly appreciated by Worthing Mencap, this year’s charity, who run the café. #LPW

Well done to our Reception children who have been raising money for the World Wildlife Fund, engaging the whole school in their efforts. As a result, they have gained their Bronze, Silver and now Gold Award in the RSPB England Wild Challenge! #LPW #LancingPrepWorthing

Today is National Read a Book Day, an awareness day that encourages all of us to take a break and get reading. Children began their day by reading their favourite book, with some of the younger children getting the opportunity to read with the older children. #LPW #ReadABookDay
