More gymnastics…..

Today in gymnastics the focus was jumping. Our success criteria was: good height, a variety of clear shapes in the air and safe landings. Check out our photos to see if we achieved this💪

Mrs B attended a very interesting online research meeting exploring physical activity and nutrition. Part of this included looking at the following infographic highlighting the guidelines advocated by several countries. This was so interesting and much food for thought for Mrs B!

Week one of boxing club has gone so well. Thank you to pupil leader Roman and his assistant Siddharth for a fun and varied session. 🤩

A race against the clock! Literally! We are extending our skills and knowledge around “Time”. We have looked at international time zones and even Roman Numerals. P7 are smashing Time/Distance/Speed calculations, too! Awesome learners 🤩

Trust us! We are spelling our words as we pass the ball. We are limiting the length of time we spend sitting down. Ask us about this ⚽️

Today in Science we were investigating what affects the rate at which a substance dissolves. Beforehand we looked at scientific language we could apply during our experiment.

After the storm… This afternoon, we spent some time clearing large branches that had fallen into the area we use at the woods. It was a mission! On the plus side, we now have LOADS of new den material! Ask us about this 🌳⭐️

Today we made 2 different types of scones: fruit and cheese and then talked about our preference. The vote was split but we all agreed both types were scrummy😋

P6/7 are exploring sectarianism through our new novel study “Divided City” by Theresa Breslin. We are demonstrating maturity and understanding.

Dance competition in the woods! Fantastic effort ⭐️

Utilising our new resources to revamp our dens area. The children in P7 have been working on an entirely new one…it is looking amazing! Well done 👏

We have been learning about where in the world our food comes from. After making two traditional Scottish dishes, today we made a fresh and delicious chicken and vegetable stir fry. Our cutting skills were 👌
