Today our Junior High welcomed Cheryl Wills, who shared her journey discovering her Great-Great-Great Grandpa Sandy Wills — a formerly enslaved man and Civil War soldier. Students even saw a real signed copy of the Emancipation Proclamation! A truly unforgettable experience

The  science research 1 class traveled to Cold Spring Harbor Lab to present their research findings using DNA Barcoding. They measured the biodiversity of the Peconic River and assessed the conditions of the river through extensive water testing and DNA analysis.

District students attending Dayton Avenue, Eastport, South Street and Tuttle Avenue elementary schools donned their patriotic colors and handmade hats as they raised their American flags during separate Flag Day celebrations on June 13.
