Today.I had a meeting in Baidoa with the Deputy Prime Minister of FGS and his delegation, including UNOCHA Somalia, humanitarian agencies, and SoDMA Director. Emphasized the importance of their involvement in providing assistance to the individuals impacted by the floods.

I was honored to welcome Ambassador Mike Nithavrianakis to #Baidoa today.We discussed the devastating impacts of ongoing #Elnino rains as well as UK in Somalia🇬🇧🇸🇴 supported dev't, security and humanitarian programs in #SWS .

Today,I visited Qansaxdhere district accompanied by the Minister of Defense to make preparations for the second phase of our operation. During our visit, we had meetings with local elders, youth, & women's groups with the aim of uniting our efforts in the fight against Al-Shabab

Today, I visited Wajid district accompanied by the Minister of Defense to prepare for the second phase of the operation. We engaged with local elders, youth, and women's organizations. Our goal is to bring lasting peace and prosperity to SWS through inclusive collaboration.

Today I officially announce the commencement of the Phase-II military offensive against Al-Shabaab in our state. The operation is set to begin. This morning, I met with all sectors of the security forces. All necessary groundwork for the operation are complete. Victory!
