Lewisham looks set to end agreement with Playtower developer Guildmore as a community petition demanding action gathers more than 2,000 signatures. Cllr James-J Walsh said it has “now become clear this developer is unable to move the project forward.” bit.ly/457DEU2

The Place/Ladywell, the four storey pop-up village home to the Lewisham donation hub until July next year, has won a reprieve from demolition. It will be used as site offices when construction begins on Ladywell Park Gardens,  the old leisure centre site. bit.ly/3U1qa70

Artists’ cooperative Lewisham Arthouse has secured substantial funding from the National Lottery heritage fund to help it deliver its ambitious plan to renovate the Grade II listed Old Deptford Library. It needs major repairs to the roof and front. More bit.ly/4m9jBvL

A long forgotten road which disappeared from local maps in the 1950s is about to make a comeback - as the Ladywell Park Gardens development behind Place/Ladywell. Ladywell Park, a late Victorian Street, suffered bomb damage in WW2 and was demolished. More bit.ly/3UbozM8
