Our September WWI Tour has been booked. We're going to follow the diary of Michael Holeisen who came marching with LIR124 from Metz to Stenay ( and later the Argonne ) to have his baptism of fire near Beauclair (French Ardennes ). Going to be GREAT .....

In September we will follow ( some of ) the footsteps of this young German Soldier. KIlled 16 Feb. 1915 in the Argonne ( Fille Morte Sector ) and no known grave. His diary is incredibly interesting to read and follow. He is remembered in the Ossuaire de la Haute Chevauchée...

7 August 1914 - Belgium - Liège. In the night of 5/6 August the 14th Brigade under Ludendorff breached the Fort Évegné - Fort Fléron interval and advanced to the obselete Fort Chartreuse. Has no balls to advance into the city. He does the next day without encountering resistance.

Ludendorff never stoped looking for that knife ...... ( The stabbed knife in the back of the Generall Staff by the government that ended the war by the Armistice ).

Belgium - Liège - Rhees ( West bank of the Meuse ). ( Former ) German cemetery ( mass grave ) for the fallen of the 5 /6 August 1914 Battle of Liège ( Handstreich ). New info : It seems to be a still existing mass grave ; never cleared.
